RESEARCH

Scientific Research is at the core of everything we do at INECO Foundation. The passion, conviction, and dedication to study the human mind and transmitting that information to society has been its purpose since its inception and continues to be its engine today. Biologists, physicists, linguists, psychologists, psychiatrists and neurologists, among many others, coexist in INECO with the aim of performing internationally relevant research to increase and expand the understanding of the brain’s functions and mental illness. The success in reaching that goal is reflected in the more than 600 scientific articles that its researchers have published in the most prestigious scientific journals in the area to the present day.

The scientific activity of the INECO Foundation is carried out within the framework of the Institute of Cognitive and Translational Neuroscience (INCyT), a triple dependency unit at the Favaloro University-INECO-CONICET Foundation.

Institute of Cognitive and Translational Neuroscience (INCYT)
The Institute of Cognitive and Translational Neuroscience – INCyT  has the mission of promoting translational research of neuroscience in cognitive, neurological, psychiatric and neuropsychological disorders; the academic training of professionals; and education and awareness in the community about brain functioning and neurological and psychiatric diseases.

INCyT offers unique opportunities for interdisciplinary and international research in the study of  the brain basis of cognition, its disorders and its treatment, hosting a group of researchers and experts in neuroscience, neuropsychiatry and behavioral sciences, working in collaboration with multiple national and international centers.

Its philosophy is based on the integration, synergy and translation of cognitive neurosciences and the applied sciences of mental health. To do this, it develops its work on the basis of interdisciplinary work; the relevance of research projects to society and the international impact of their research. In the same way, it promotes the application of its scientific advances in the scientific training of professionals, in raising awareness and educating the community, as well as in the well-being of patients with neurological and psychiatric problems and their families.
