Genetic, neurological and behavioral interactions in Alzheimer’s disease and frontotemporal dementia

Genetic, neurological and behavioral interactions in Alzheimer’s disease and frontotemporal dementia

Dementias are highly prevalent neurodegenerative diseases characterized by prolonged pre-symptomatic periods. These diseases represent a major problem for the health system and the society worldwide, but especially in countries with rapid demographic and economic transition such as Argentina. The objective of this line of research is to conduct a multidisciplinary evaluation of the clinical, neuropsychological, neurophysiological, imaging and genetic information of the healthy controls and patients with suspected neurodegenerative disease in early stages, in order to progress in the understanding of these diseases at different levels.
